Conwy

Conwy Town is a world heritage site with an imposing thirteenth-century castle and walls. Conwy’s harbour, revolutionary Telford suspension bridge, it’s close proximity to Wales most popular seaside resort and the mighty mountains of Snowdonia make Conwy one of the world’s finest tourism destinations.

Words cannot describe this place, so here are two Drone films

It’s a small walled medieval town. The best way to see it is to walk the walls, it’s free too.

It has some nice restaurants, fish and chip shops etc….

Some places worth visiting

Yesteryears toy shop, this is like stepping back in time! It’s small but rammed with all sorts of toys and stuff you jut don’t see anymore. The staff are excellent too.

Crab fishing at the harbour

This is a ‘must do’ activity. Crabs seem to love to hang out in Conwy with lots of shops selling the basic crab lines and buckets; we find this sort the best and safest as it has no sharp hooks. We did start out with a ball of string a stone and a persil bag! Best bait is bacon off cuts from the butcher, even better if they are a bit off and smelly.

If you watch Salvage Hunters Drew has a shop in Conwy

The Castle

This is impressive but at £9.50 per adult not cheap. We feel the walk around the walls is much better value as it is free.

Smallest house

It’s on the harbour front opposite end to the castle. You can’t go to Conwy without seeing this, that would be like going to Florida and not seeing Disney World.  £1 for adults and 50p for kids, it usually has a lady outside in traditional Welsh dress.

Nice short trips from the harbour down the river, it’s great to see the castle from the river. Disabled access, pushchair and dog friendly.

Life Boat Station on the Harbour

Conwy has its own lifeboat A class D, the lifeboat station has a shop and you can see the lifeboat.
